About Me

Hi, I'm Alexander Brush, and I'm passionate about solving complex challenges through creative engineering and design. My journey in mechanical engineering started with a curiosity about how things work and a love for building. As a triplet and one of four brothers, I grew up in an energetic and competitive environment that shaped my collaborative and resilient mindset.

I began my academic journey at Regis High School, where I developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. At RPI, I pursued dual degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation & Society, driven by my desire to combine technical precision with innovative thinking. My time there also sparked a love for high-performance engineering through my work with Rensselaer Motorsport, where I designed cooling systems for race vehicles.

While at RPI, I also found a unique outlet for my competitive spirit in esports. As both a player and manager of the Rocket League team, I led our group to victory in the NACE Starleague, honing my leadership and strategic planning skills.

Currently, I'm pursuing my M.Eng. in Advanced Manufacturing and Design at MIT. My co-op at Manta Product Development was an invaluable experience where I tackled real-world engineering challenges, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving in a collaborative setting.

Outside of academics and professional work, I love immersing myself in hands-on projects. In my free time, you'll find me 3D modeling and printing contraptions, constantly iterating to bring new ideas to life. I also make it a point to stay active and grounded by spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, walking, or just exploring new places.

I’m driven by curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to building functional, elegant solutions. Whether it's engineering a product or competing in esports, I strive to push boundaries and embrace new challenges.
